Hinds Behavioral Health Services - Pride And Mental Health

25

LGBTQ+ people are twice as likely as non-LGBTQ+ people to have a mental health condition and continue to show disparities in mental health, even though they are more likely to use mental health services.

Coming out as LGBTQ+ is brave no matter when you do it, but it can be especially challenging to come out during adulthood.

You may feel anxiety around dating, insecurity around labeling your identity, or fear of taking up space in the LGBTQ+ community.

If this is you, you’re not alone. Visit mhanational.org/pride for new resources and articles about coming out and other topics related to LGBTQ+ mental health.
