Black had the largest percent of student body in Mdhs Division Of Youth Services schools in 2021-22 school year

Black students made up 66.7% of the 39 students enrolled in Mdhs Division Of Youth Services schools during the 2021-22 school year, making them the most represented ethnicity, according to the Mississippi Department of Education.

Williams School had the highest enrollment in the district with 39 students.

A snapshot of Mdhs Division Of Youth Services schools showed 66.7% of students were Black and 25.6% white.

Mdhs Division Of Youth Services roughly covers one school within Hinds County and has a main office in Raymond.

Mississippi has continually struggled with public education. The most recent Report Card on American Education, from a right-leaning think tank, gave the state a C-. This is consistent with ratings stretching back nearly a decade.

The nonpartisan Education Week also ranked Mississippi schools as C- in their most recent analysis.
