Eagles Claim Two National Runner-Ups in Three Events at NJCAA Indoor Championships
The Hinds Community College Track and Field teams concluded the indoor season at the NJCAA Track & Field National Championships in Kansas that took place on March 3-4.
Sophomore Diandrenique Gaines earned National Runner-Up status in the 60-meter dash and in the 200m dash. Gaines finished the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.42 and crossed the finish line in the 200-meter dash at the 23.98 mark.
Sophomore Sprinter Dapriest Hogans finished in 2nd place in the 200-meter dash with a time of 20.86 to become a National Runner-Up for the Eagles over the weekend.
The Eagles also had multiple Top 20 finishes in the National Championships, which nine athletes earned All-American status in eight events.

With the indoor season concluded, the Eagles will open the outdoor season on March 25th at the Belhaven Invitational on the campus of Belhaven University in Jackson, Miss.
