Hinds CC Foundation Scholarship deadline is Feb. 15

Prospective and current Hinds students are invited to apply for a Hinds Community College Foundation Scholarship for the 2023-2024 academic year. The priority deadline is Feb. 15. Students meeting all scholarship requirements by this date are given first consideration for a scholarship.

About 85 percent of students at Hinds receive financial aid of some kind. Through the generosity of donors, the Hinds Community College Foundation awards more than 800 scholarships, ranging from $250 to $2,400 per semester, each year to deserving students.

Colby Wilson, 19, of Raymond receives the Hinds Family Memorial Endowed Scholarship through the Foundation.

“Receiving this scholarship further confirms the college’s commitment to supporting my academic and career goals,” he said.

Unless otherwise indicated, Foundation scholarships are awarded to full-time students who enroll in a minimum of 15 credit hours. Minimum grade point average varies per Foundation scholarship; however, all applicants must have a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 or above. Students wishing to be considered for scholarships on the basis of financial need should have the results of their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) sent to Hinds prior to the Feb. 15 deadline.

The application process for Foundation Scholarships can be completed online. Scholarship decisions are generally made in early April and are awarded for the fall semester. For questions, please call 601-857-3744 or email Scholarships@hindscc.edu.
