The City of Jackson, working closely with the U.S. Department of Justice and the Environmental Protection Agency, has released a Request for Proposals (RFP) for Professional Services for Operation, Maintenance and Management of the O.B. Curtis and J.H. Fewell water treatment plants, tanks and well facilities of the City.
While the Request for Qualifications (RFQ) released by Mississippi Emergency Management Agency (MEMA) on October 14 accurately reflects the scope of work, as the contracting party, the City of Jackson is responsible for its evaluation, contract terms and funding. This is, and was always intended to be, a one-year emergency agreement funded by the City of Jackson.
Interested proposers should respond to the RFP the City of Jackson issued, as it provides specific terms requested by the EPA, terms that were not included in MEMA’s RFQ.
The City of Jackson has worked closely with members of the Unified Command Structure and will continue to work beside our local, state and federal partners. The City is grateful to these partners for their ongoing support and investments in our water infrastructure. Together we will ensure that Jackson residents have the sustainable, quality drinking water they deserve.
