Cost of college went up for all students at Mississippi College

Tuition and fees rose 3.6 percent for 2018-19 at Mississippi College, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Mississippi students paid $18,026 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year – $634 more than the $17,392 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 100 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 562 students received grants or scholarships totaling $8.2 million and 294 students took out student loans totaling more than $1.8 million.

Including all undergraduates (5,103), 2,928 students used grants or scholarships totaling $36.3 million, and 1,595 students took out $10.9 million in federal student loans.
