U.S. Senator Cindy Hyde-Smith has taken to social media to highlight her recent legislative achievements and efforts aimed at supporting her constituents in Mississippi. Through a series of tweets, she outlines funding allocations, tax credits, and disaster relief measures that have been enacted or proposed under the One Big Beautiful Bill (OBBB).
On July 8, 2025, Senator Hyde-Smith announced her role in securing significant funding for NASA’s Stennis Space Center. “Proud to have helped secure $120M for @NASAStennis in the OBBB. This funding protects thousands of local jobs, upgrades critical infrastructure, and keeps South Mississippi at the heart of America’s space future.”
The following day, July 9, 2025, she elaborated on how the OBBB is designed to provide tangible benefits to families in Mississippi. “The One Big Beautiful Bill delivers real help for Mississippi families – it increases the Child Tax credit to $2,200 and expands support to help cover childcare costs. More support where it matters most. Without the OBBB, the Child Tax Credit would have reverted back to $1,000”
Later on July 9th, Hyde-Smith also addressed agricultural concerns by informing farmers and ranchers about available disaster relief funds. “The USDA is distributing $16 billion in disaster relief to support farmers and ranchers across Mississippi and nationwide who’ve faced recent natural disasters. If you’re a Mississippi producer, I strongly encourage you to see if you qualify!”
