U.S. Senators Roger Wicker and Jack Reed have announced the schedule for the markup of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year 2026. The full committee markup will commence on July 8th, as stated by Wicker, R-Miss, Chairman, and Reed, D-RI, Ranking Member of the Senate Armed Services Committee.

The committee will hold a vote to determine if portions of the markup will be closed. Specific sections of the NDAA will be reviewed by subcommittees on July 8th, covering areas such as Airland, Seapower, Strategic Forces, and Readiness. Further considerations by subcommittees will occur on July 9th, focusing on Personnel and Cyber matters.

The full committee is scheduled to review the NDAA on July 9th and may extend into July 10th if necessary.
