Mobile to unveil sports legends’ statues at new Hall of Fame Walk

The city of Mobile, Alabama, is set to celebrate some of its most notable sports figures with the unveiling of the Hall of Fame Walk on Tuesday, June 24. This event will take place at the Mobile Convention Center’s riverwalk and will feature statues honoring former Major League Baseball stars and Pro Football Hall of Famer Robert Brazile.

The installation includes six nine-foot-tall statues representing Hank Aaron, Satchel Paige, Billy Williams, Ozzie Smith, Willie McCovey, and Robert Brazile. These statues will be positioned prominently in front of the Convention Center.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for 1:30 pm on June 24. The public is invited to attend this dedication event which will feature speeches from city leaders as well as remarks from Hall of Fame members and their family representatives.
