Mississippi high school basketball semifinals set to begin March 2

The Mississippi High School Activities Association (MHSAA) has released the schedule for the 2026 basketball championships, with semifinals set to begin on Monday, March 2. The games will feature teams from multiple classes competing at various times throughout the week.

Monday’s schedule opens with Class 6A girls matchups, starting at 9:00 am as Olive Branch faces West Jones, followed by Neshoba Central versus Forest Hill at 10:30 am. The Class 6A boys games will see Canton play Terry at noon and Callaway take on Pascagoula at 1:30 pm. In the afternoon, Class 1A girls and boys teams will compete, including Okolona against Simmons and Ingomar versus Richton for the girls, and West Union against Leflore County and Calhoun City facing Piney Woods for the boys.

On Tuesday, March 3, Class 4A girls start the day with Tishomingo County playing Morton at 9:00 am. Louisville meets Newton County in another girls game at 10:30 am. Boys’ contests include Kosciusko versus Morton and Greenwood against Leake Central. Later in the day, Class 7A teams compete with Madison Central playing Harrison Central and Starkville facing Biloxi among other matchups.

Semifinal games continue through Wednesday and Thursday across different classifications, leading up to championship games that begin Thursday evening. The first championship is scheduled for Class 6A girls at 6:00 pm on March 5, followed by the boys’ title game later that night. Additional championships for other classes are planned through Saturday, March 7.

Television coverage of the event is available in several regions across Mississippi on local channels such as ME TV (WAPT Channel 16.2), WLOX – Bounce (13.2), WCBI-MY MS (Channel 4.2), WTOK – myTok (11.2), WDAM – BOUNCE (7.3), WHCQ (Channel 8.1), WPRZ (Channel 12), and WEBU (Channel 22.1). Live video streaming will be provided online via NFHS Network at www.misshsaa.tv.

Radio broadcasts of MHSAA games can be heard on ESPN Radio 105.9 FM as a neutral broadcast option; individual schools may also provide their own radio coverage depending on each matchup.
