The Mississippi High School Activities Association announced on April 7 the dates and locations for the 2026 tennis championships. The team competition will take place on April 20, followed by individual events on April 21 and 22.
The announcement is important for student-athletes, coaches, and families as they prepare for the upcoming season’s key events. It also helps schools plan logistics for travel and participation in the state tournaments.
According to the association, the championships will be held at two different sites based on school classifications. The competitions for classes 4A, 6A, and 7A will be hosted in Vicksburg. Meanwhile, classes 1A, 2A, 3A, and 5A will compete in Oxford.
Maps of the venues are expected to be provided to assist teams with planning their trips to these locations.
These annual championships bring together top high school tennis players from across Mississippi. The scheduled dates allow athletes ample time to prepare both academically and athletically ahead of these major competitions.
