Jackson State University defeated Alabama A&M in a doubleheader on April 18, securing a season sweep during the final home games of the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) softball regular season.
The victories are significant as they strengthen Jackson State’s position within the conference and build momentum heading into the final stretch of the regular season.
In game one, Jackson State overcame an early deficit to win 6-4. The Tigers scored six runs on just four hits, drawing 11 walks and stealing five bases.
