Arkansas-Pine Bluff had a stronger shooting performance, making nearly 51 percent of its shots from the floor and converting five out of eleven three-point attempts. UAPB also went to the free throw line more often, making 17 out of their 21 attempts.

Quion Williams led Arkansas-Pine Bluff with a game-high 25 points as four Golden Lions players scored in double figures.

The first half was closely contested, featuring nine ties and five lead changes. UAPB shot over fifty-three percent during that span and took a narrow lead into halftime.

In the second half, Jackson State continued to have difficulty finding offensive rhythm, shooting about thirty-three percent overall and thirty-one percent from long distance. UAPB maintained efficient shooting throughout both halves to secure the win.

McMillian scored twelve points in the first half for Jackson State, while Williams led UAPB with seventeen before halftime.

Jackson State will return home for two games, starting with Florida A&M on Saturday at 2:30 p.m., which will be nationally televised.
