Helen Hernandez secured a singles victory for the Jackson State University Tigers in their match against the University of New Orleans Privateers on Wednesday afternoon in Jackson, Mississippi. Hernandez won her singles match against Danique Vermue with scores of 6-4, 6-3 at the number four position.

In other singles action, Victoria Linkovski extended her match to three sets before being defeated by Kate Kalistratova, finishing 2-6, 6-1, 2-6.

The doubles team of Tiara Alvarez and Daniela Tovar recorded a win over Ananya Dhankhar and Naila Krifa with a score of 6-4.

The Tigers will next travel to Hattiesburg to play against Southern Miss on Friday, February 13 at 2 p.m.
