Dalon Harris and Malayna Mallory have been recognized by the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) for their performances at the Samford Bulldog Open last weekend. The SWAC office announced on Wednesday that Harris was named Field Performer of the Week after winning the men’s shot put event with a throw of 15.48 meters.
Malayna Mallory received two honors: Women’s Field Performer of the Week and Newcomer of the Week. She achieved a personal best in the weight throw, reaching 16.48 meters, which earned her second place among all competitors. In addition, she finished fifth in the shot put with a distance of 11.78 meters.
