The College Baseball Foundation (CBF) has revealed the inductees for the 2025 class of the College Baseball Hall of Fame. Among the 21 honorees is Earl Sanders, a former player from Jackson State University. Sanders, who played at Jackson State for three years, was drafted in the first round of the 1986 Major League Baseball Draft by the Toronto Blue Jays. During his time at Jackson State, he earned accolades as both Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Hitter and Pitcher of the Year.

Craig Ramsey, Chairman of the CBF Board of Trustees, stated: “This year’s class includes legendary players, iconic coaches, a revered umpire, and – for the first time in Hall history – a sports agent whose impact helped define the modern era of college baseball.”

The induction ceremony will take place on February 12, 2026, at the Night of Champions event in Overland Park, Kansas. This event marks the beginning of the 2026 college baseball season.

Eligibility for induction into the Hall requires players to be out of college for at least 15 years and to have competed at either two-year or four-year institutions recognized by CCCAA, NJCAA or NCAA divisions I through III or NAIA. Coaches must be retired for two years or actively coaching past age 75.

The voting body consists of over 200 representatives including media members, coaches (active and retired), former players and inductees, historians, and members from SABR’s collegiate baseball committee.

Since its inception in 2006 with its first induction class, more than 175 individuals have been honored by this institution dedicated to preserving college baseball’s legacy.

This year’s inductees include notable figures such as Gene Ammann from Florida State University and Scott Boras from University of Pacific among others.
