U.S. Senator Cindy Hyde-Smith, known for her active engagement on social media, shared a series of tweets in June 2025 addressing significant national and agricultural issues, as well as a personal reflection through a biblical verse.

On June 19, 2025, Senator Hyde-Smith marked the celebration of Juneteenth by expressing the importance of the day in American history. She tweeted: “This historic day stands as a testament to our nation’s commitment to freedom and condemnation of slavery. Wishing everyone a joyful and meaningful Juneteenth!”

Later that day, she turned her attention to an agricultural concern regarding livestock. In another tweet posted on June 19, 2025, she addressed the threat posed by the New World screwworm to the U.S. cattle industry. She stated: “The spread of the New World screwworm is a serious threat to the U.S. cattle and livestock industry if left alone. I applaud @SecRollins for recognizing this risk and taking action to once again stop this pest before it infects our herds.”

On June 22, 2025, Senator Hyde-Smith shared a reflective biblical passage from Isaiah 58:11 with her followers: “The Lord will guide you always. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail.”

Senator Cindy Hyde-Smith has served as Mississippi’s junior United States senator since April 2018.
