Calhoun City High School secured a place in the finals of the 2026 MHSAA Basketball Tournament after defeating Piney Woods School 44-35 on Monday, March 2, 2026. The game took place during the tournament semifinals.

Calhoun City maintained a lead for most of the game. Piney Woods narrowed the gap to three points by the end of the third quarter, with the score at 32-29. However, Calhoun City outscored Piney Woods 12-6 in the fourth quarter to seal their victory.
