Booneville High School secured the 2026 MHSAA Class 3A Girls Basketball Championship with a 54-31 victory over Belmont High School on March 7, 2026. The game took place at an unspecified site.
Booneville established an early lead, finishing the first quarter ahead 13-6 and extending their advantage to 31-15 by halftime. In the second quarter, Booneville expanded a six-point margin to fifteen with contributions from Raylee Jones and Lamaya Southward, as well as two free throws by Adler Doran. Southward added a three-pointer late in the half, helping Booneville maintain control going into the break.
Southward led Booneville with 20 points and five rebounds. Jones contributed 11 points and seven rebounds. Kellan Johnson scored five points and collected nine rebounds. Booneville had a significant rebounding advantage, out-rebounding Belmont 42-30, and converted 19 of their 20 free throw attempts.
For Belmont, Presley Ross scored ten points while Aubree Scott added nine. Karsyn Sullivan finished with six points and seven rebounds. Belmont struggled offensively, shooting just seven for thirty-nine from the field and missing all eleven of their three-point attempts.
The team statistics reflected Booneville’s dominance: they made sixteen of forty-six field goals compared to Belmont’s seven of thirty-nine. Booneville also recorded more assists (six), steals (four), and blocks (two) than their opponent.
Both teams had double-digit turnovers—Booneville with eleven and Belmont with ten—but Booneville’s efficiency at the foul line proved decisive in maintaining their lead throughout the contest.
After this result, Booneville is recognized as the MHSAA Class 3A Girls Basketball Champion for the year.
